Who I am
Landscape and travel photography aren’t just hobbies for me — they’re how I experience and interpret the world. I’m drawn to the quiet magic that happens when place and atmosphere come together: the way early morning light softens a mountain ridge, how fog reshapes a familiar street, or how a city skyline takes on an entirely different personality after dusk. Whether I’m wandering through an urban landscape or standing at the edge of a remote overlook, I’m always searching for images that blend beautiful surroundings with the mood of the moment.
What excites me most is not just capturing a scene, but preserving the feeling within it. A photograph, to me, is more than a visual record — it’s a story suspended in time. I love sharing those images and, when the moment calls for it, the stories behind them: the unexpected detour that led to the perfect view, the patience required to wait for the right light, or the fleeting seconds when everything aligned.
I’m a New Englander through and through — born and raised in a region where the seasons dramatically reshape the landscape and continually inspire my work. Today, I call Richmond, Vermont home, where mountains, rivers, and small-town charm offer endless opportunities to explore with a camera in hand.
When I’m not out chasing light or refining images in post-processing, I’m in the classroom teaching chemistry at Saint Michael’s College. Science and photography may seem like different worlds, but both fuel my curiosity and appreciation for detail, patterns, and the hidden beauty in how things work. Whether through a lens or a lecture, I’m always seeking to better understand — and share — the world around me.
